10/10 service and 10/10 food!! My partner and I came 3 days in a row while in town with no regrets!!! The cinnamon roll pancake was especially good and I hope I can come back again soon!

Great breakfast, nice shady patio, lots of menu options. The best part of this place is the excellent service by the friendliest team of staff. They were all efficient, friendly to customers and helpful and nice to each other. It felt like a big happy family and just a fun place to be!

Service 4/5 Food 4/5 Ambiance 4/5 I recommend outdoor seating. Breakfast sandwich was amazing like really good. Orange juice was delicious. Coffee could be better. All fruits used were very fresh.

Delicious burgers and breakfast food. The portion are pretty reasonably sized, maybe on the larger end. The outdoor area has a nice vivid ambience with the trees and all the vines around. Service of the place is great. This place gets super busy around the brunch rush hour, but I was able to get a table without reservations.

Judy and I Just made our second visit to the Garden Cafe for brunch. Situated right next-door to SAFEWAY on B St. in San Rafael, parking is never an issue or a problem. There are three types of seating available: fully indoors, an enclosed patio area and some fully outside seating along the side of the building. First time we sat in the patio area, which was very busy and a little noisy, and today, we sat outside in the sun, and it was absolutely delightful. The menu is rather extensive for breakfast and for lunch. Today my wife had the avocado and prawn salad which is pictured here. Unlike salad often served at other places, the greens are actually cut in a size that you can eat without having to cut them again in your plate. The prawns are grilled to perfection and on the huge side. With the dressing you select, they mix the salad with it before it served so there's no pour dressing around to try to get it where you want it. My wife likes the dressing a lot, asked for extra and received it quickly and with a smile. I enjoyed their hot oatmeal, also pictured here. I am an oatmeal fan and a bit of a perfectionist about how it's made and how it tastes. There's is on the creamy side, but hot and served in a rather large bowl topped with raisins, blueberries and bananas. Of course, brown sugar on the side and a little pitcher of hot milk at my request in addition. Nothing was less than wonderful. This is consistent with our first visit a couple of weeks ago. Feeling like the first visit may have been a fluke, we decided to return because I am reluctant to write a review after only one visit. No matter how good it may have been, it may have been an exception! The server was friendly and responsive, and our iced teas were kept filled without having to request them. Nothing but good things to say about this place. For breakfast, brunch or lunch there are lots of selections and everything we've tried has been just perfect. I am delighted to be able to give it my highest recommendation.

Everyone was very welcoming and the food was 10/10 I would recommend trying the cinnamon roll pancakes but overall everything was great.

My dad and I love it here. We meet once a month for brunch and this place is one of our faves. Food is fresh and always delicious. But no one loves it here more than Gino. Garden cafe has a doggie menu and Gino always feels so loved and accepted here. How fav item on te menu is the Salmon. I recommend this place if you want ur pet to feel the love too.

Yelp review: The Garden Cafe The most striking element of the Garden Cafe is the incredible team of people providing a level of service unusual for a venue such as this. Each person goes out of their way to make you feel significant in their lives in their day and making certain your experience is only exceptional and pleasing. Changes to the menu are not an issue for the team. And, defining the staff as a team is essential: as many people who cover the floors - inside as well as the outside eating area, hence the name - each approach to the table is individualized. The personality of each team member shines, making an honest connection within each interaction. We noticed many mature individuals and groups arriving in style: it is evident by the time each must have taken to prepare for their outing this dining establishment is special: seemingly regulars attend, meeting their dear friends. Parking is a conundrum: while there is ample street parking, a Safeway parking lot adjacent may be an option as well - however, the adjacent wall is an obstacle to a direct path. Adjacent to the restaurant, find a stretch of parking along the alleyway which borders the entrance to the restaurant. Even when you approach the venue, a row of tables also available along the exterior wall, any team member who is visible, will greet you with enthusiasm. I have not even mentioned how wonderful the food is! The menu is quite diverse, yet many familiar options. From breakfast to lunch and then dinner-like items; coffee and desert elements: one could frequent The Garden Cafe at any time they are open and enjoy their relaxing and fulfilling moments. Portions tend to be large, too. However, you will want to sample various items. There seems to be great care for those who may need to enter the inside restaurant as well - where hr single unisex restroom is available - as there is a ramp into the building from the street and courtyard garden area. The only issue to navigate: each dining area - table or bench - is generally intended for larger parties. It may limit your options as a smaller group. However, we have not had any issue sitting each of the two times we have attended. By contrast, pairs of diners may take up tables for four. The location of the venue is interesting: in the Southwestern corner of San Rafael, among the residences which dominate the adjacent area, one could imagine walking gently from home only a few blocks to lavish in the experience. On a gorgeous day, The Garden Cafe could be an outing, a slow food experience, time spent with dear friends, the time in The Garden, as well as the the walk home, an opportunity to reflect on life's cherished moments.

Last Saturday, I went out for brunch with two friends, and it was a memorable experience. We were delighted to find no wait time and were instantly charmed by the adorable decorations and good vibes of the place. I ordered my favorite, egg chilaquiles, along with amazing poached eggs. The chilaquiles were perfectly cooked, with crispy tortillas, eggs, and a rich, flavorful sauce. One friend had an omelette, stuffed with fresh vegetables and cheeses. The eggs were fluffy, and the filling was savory. She couldn't stop raving about it. Our other friend chose breakfast tacos, which were packed with seasoned meats, eggs, and vibrant salsas. We all enjoyed iced Americanos, which were refreshing and balanced. The combination of great food, excellent company, and the charming ambiance made this brunch unforgettable. We agreed we'd definitely return to explore more of their delicious offerings.

Hidden behind an alley, this place is lively around 9AM on a Monday. Staff are moving and hustlin' around the place. Service is fast and even the food comes out pretty quick. Everyone who greeted me and served me was super friendly and attentive. I ordered the Roberts benedict which was corned beef benedict with a side of wheat toast. The presentation was prettier than most diners and everything was cooked to perfection! The butter spread on my wheat toast was lackluster and uneven, but that's my preference and I could have asked for more. I would come here again when I'm in the area. One of the few places that provides an overall great dining experience.
